OZ Lotto delivers $52.7 million to four lucky winners
The biggest OZ Lotto prize ever - $52,741,092.08 - was shared among four winning entries.
The winning tickets purchased in Victoria, Queensland and two from Western Australia picked up $13,185,273.02 each.
The record first division prize was part of more than $74 million paid in all prize divisions to more than one million OZ Lotto players nationally.
Although the big prize eluded NSW players, there were 408,175 divisional prizes won in the state, including nine second division prizes of $26,368.40.
The $52.7 million first division prize pool is the second biggest ever offered in an Australian lottery, beaten only by Powerball which soared to an unbelievable $58.7 million on 5 June.
The record individual win for NSW is $30 million, which was won on Powerball at Yamba in December 2003. The biggest OZ Lotto win in NSW happened in April this year when two entries from Sydney’s western suburbs shared the $47.98 million first division prize, each winning close to $24 million each.
The winning numbers in last night’s OZ Lotto draw are: 40, 33, 5, 44, 16, 17 and 3 with the supplementary numbers 31 and 7.
OZ Lotto reverts to the base amount of $2 million for next Tuesday’s draw.
